Sun Bingnan, LüChaokun, Mao Guodong
2005, 35(7): 39-42. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200507012
Abstract:
In order to control the seismic response of the tall building and eliminate the / time lag0 phenomenon by actuation of the control mechanism, intelligent TMD is proposed which consists ofMR dampers. The change of yield stress of MR fluids is in the same way of magnetic field. So the controlling force of the intelligent TMD can be adjusted by changing magnetic field. According to instantaneouw optimum control principle, we use the improved sem-i active control strategy which derived from the Hrovat and on- off control strategy to analyse the parameters of the MR dampers. An eight storied frame structure is analysed. From the numerical analysis, we can see the dvice could diminish the seismic response of a tall structure.

The unification of processing softened and hardened soil models is realized by the modified model, which can reflect not only pile- soil slip and degradation of frictional resistance, but also reflect asynchronous action of lateral friction and lateral resistance. It is very useful for further research on load transfer mechanism of piled foundations.

Abstract:
By analyzing dumping undrained true triaxial test of excavation soil mass, it is studied the relation between generalized shear stress and generalized shear strain derived by generalized Hook. s law. Then intermediate principal stress coefficient is defined based on actual stress path and a shearing modulus. formula is also derived under plane unit elongation strain condition. The study results show that generalized shear stress has a strong nonlinear relation with generalized shear strain, and intermediate principal stress has interval effect on soil strength. The strength of soil enhances to a certain peak value gradually and diminishes gradually in the process of intermediate principal stress 2 increases from 3 to 1.

2005, 35(7): 59-63. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200507017
Abstract:
Based on field dead load test for two supergiant bridges of a expressway project, this paper studied the applicability of the technology of pressure grouting at pile tip to bored piles in pebble stratum, and the bearing characteristics of bored piles after applying this technology. The findings show that the bored piles using pressure grouting at pile tip have good adaptability to strata and can remarkably improve the bearing capability and decrease the settlement of pile foundations, and consequently acquire remarable economic and social benefit. After pressure grouting on pile tip, elasticworking range of piles will be extended and be in favour of pile to bear repeated loads and dynamic loads. At the same time, for bored pile using pressure grouting at pile tip, failure mode of material strength damage is likely to occur and attention should be paid to their design.

Ren Xiaosong, Xu Qi
2005, 35(7): 99-101,63. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200507029
Abstract:
Remodeling and reconstruction of an ex isting tall building are usually related to seismic retrofit in order to satisfy the demands on new designing code. Structural seismic retrofit should be done according to the actual situation. Based on the main principle of proper stiffness of structure which means avoiding too small or large stiffness and effectively controlling torsion, strategy of partial demolition is suggested for the structures with unreasonable stiffness distribution. Three engineering cases are listed here to demonstrate the necessity of the strategy of demolition for structural retrofit.
