Based on the characters of prestressed cable supported lattice shell, a new construction method is bring forward in this paper. In this method the shell is constructed through tensioning by layers and the prestress is applied layer by layer also. An experiments is designed to verify the validity of the new method. besides the tension method and a new node form which is self- designed to cooperate the experiment are discussed in this paper.
