This paper research the behavior of reinforced concrete member with corroded steel bar in compressive area by experiment. Experiment results have shown that the main effect is the decrease in cross section stiffness with the corrosion of steel bar, which mainly occurs during the time between the initiation of corrosion and that the compressive area concrete is cracked by corrosion of steel bar, and the amount is affected by the amount of acting load, but no destruction occurs during the corrosion of compressive steel bar.
