Abstract

Abstract

the mechanical properties of fire- resistant steel at elevated temperature are presented in this paper. A practical approach for fire- resistant steel beams is proposed according to the current Chinese Codes for Design of Steel Structures. Comparing with the results of FEM method and the tests, the reliability of this practical approach is verified.
