The ground was assumed to be elastic. The differential equation was built and solved by finite difference method in consideration of plastic slip between pile and soil. The numerical example agrees well with the field measurement. Continuity of the soil around the pile can be considered into the method. By the method, the settlement of the ground around the pile can be calculated. The method was compared with load transfer method and shear displacement method. It is shown that the method isnt simple superposition of load transfer method and shear displacement method. Degradation of the method is consistent with load transfer method and shear displacement method respectively.
