EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF BOND FORCE ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF REINFORCED CEMENT-SOIL WALL
Wang Yingjun, Huang Xin, Zou Dongfeng
2004, 34(2): 37-40,32. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200402012
Abstract:
According to the experimental study on mechanical properties of reinforced cement\-soil beams, reinforced cement soil beams have two possible failure modes:shear failure occurs if anchoring force is enough and bond failure occurs if anchoring force isn't enough; the bond stress at a certain location between shape steel and cement soil accretes with the increase of load, then keep basically invariable when it reaches bond strength. The closer its location is to beams end, the later it reaches bond strength. When the bond stress at the end of beams reaches bond strength eventually, the bond stress is uniform along the interface. Further load would create slippage between shape steel and cement soil and causes failure of beams; the bond strength accretes with the increase of compressive strength of cement soil, and the bond force also accretes with the increase of bond length and contact area between shape steel and cement soil.

2004, 34(2): 41-44,36. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200402013
Abstract:
According to the fracture mechanism of the linings acted on by negative friction in a drilled shaft, a type of compressible lining joint installation, with a ring plate adding to rib plates, is presented. The physical simulation tests of this installation were finished under uniaxial and triaxial compression. The compressing characteristics, the vertical critical load, and the acting behavior between ring plate and rib plates were investigated. The test results prove that this kind of installation is of good waterproofing, and can unload vertical stress in shaft linings and then prevent the shaft lining fracture. Some opinions on the design methods and the values of parameters of this compressible joint are also put forward.
