  • In this paper the basic principles of the rammed under expanded piles abroad are concisely introduced. Then the mechanisms、characteristics, suitable ranges, construction sequences of chinese rammed under expanded piles are described in detail. Finally the basic principles, load bearing mechanisms, suitable ranges and construction sequences of ram compaction piles with composite bearing base are briefly described.
