EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE INFLUENCE OF BOND FORCE ON THE MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF REINFORCED CEMENT-SOIL WALL

  • According to the experimental study on mechanical properties of reinforced cement\-soil beams, reinforced cement soil beams have two possible failure modes:shear failure occurs if anchoring force is enough and bond failure occurs if anchoring force isn't enough; the bond stress at a certain location between shape steel and cement soil accretes with the increase of load, then keep basically invariable when it reaches bond strength. The closer its location is to beams end, the later it reaches bond strength. When the bond stress at the end of beams reaches bond strength eventually, the bond stress is uniform along the interface. Further load would create slippage between shape steel and cement soil and causes failure of beams; the bond strength accretes with the increase of compressive strength of cement soil, and the bond force also accretes with the increase of bond length and contact area between shape steel and cement soil.
