STATIC BEHAVIOR OF STEPPED T-TYPE CR JOINTS

  • Finite element analyses on the static behavior of stepped T type CR joints are conducted. The validity of the analytical results is verified by comparing with the experimental results of four joints. The effects of chord thickness, the ratio of the branch diameter to the chord width and the chord height to thickness on the static behavior of stepped T type CR joints are studied. The behavior of stepped T type CR joints is compared with corresponding RR joints and cross joints. Some useful conclusions and suggestions are put forward.
