Basalt fiber is an important high-powered material which draws much attention just as carbern fiber and glass fiber.As further study and more application,there are different viewpoints about basalt fiber and its application.The characters of basalt fiber are discussed,and according to its application,some important problems on study and application of basalt fiber are described to lead to the proper utilization of basalt fiber and its products.

Abstract:
More attention is focused on experimental research on basalt fiber in home and abroad.Strength and crack resistance capability of concrete will be improved after being reinforced by chopped basalt continuous fiber.A hundred and ninety-four test pieces are tested which involved six kinds of slenderness ratios and five cubic contents,and studies are done on the influence of cubic content and slenderness ratio to compressive strength,split strength and flexural strength of concrete,which lays the foundation of further study.

Abstract:
A series of basaltic fiber wet-thermal exposure tests were conducted.The type of basaltic fiber sheet and saturated resin were varied.As the time of aging test increasing,the tensile strength,elongation and elastic modulus of BFRP were studied.Further more,the same characteristics of GFRP and CFRP were consulted.It can be of some guiding significance to the engineering application of BFRP.
COMPARATIVE STUDY ON SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF RECTANGULAR CONCRETE COLUMNS STRENGTHENED WITH BFRP AND CFRP COMPOSITES

Abstract:
Comparative test on the seismic performance of rectangular concrete columns strengthened with basalt fiber reinforced polymer(BFRP) and carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) was conducted.Test results show that basalt fiber tow winding retrofit technology can significantly improve the shear strength of the concrete columns and change the failure modes.Contrasting to the columns wrapped with CFRP,it is confirmed that with similar lateral confinement stiffness,the strength and ductility,energy absorbing and other structural performance of the columns wounded with BFRP could be achieved,while the price of BFRP is lower.It is worthy to be widely applied to strengthen engineering structures.
COMPARATIVE STUDY ON SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF CIRCULAR CONCRETE COLUMNS STRENGTHENED WITH BFRP AND CFRP COMPOSITES

Abstract:
Basalt fiber is expected to be widely applied in civil engineering for its fine mechanic performance,good stability and comparatively low price.However,there is still little research in the aspect concerning with the application of basalt fiber in civil Engineering.Comparative test on the seismic performance of circular concrete column strengthened with basalt fiber reinforced polymer(BFRP) and carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) was conducted.The influence of fiber type and fiber amount on the strengthening effect was discussed.Test results show that BFRP and CFRP can both obviously improve the seismic performance of circular concrete columns,and more,BFRP has higher ratio of performance to price.

Abstract:
Based on the design code for strengthening concrete structure,using the theory of calculating the flexural capacity and the shear capacity of RC beams with rectangular section strengthened by FRP,it is calculated and analysed the flexural capacity and the shear capacity of RC beams strengthened by BFRP sheets or CFRP sheets.The calculation process indicate that it is easy to calculate the flexural capacity and the shear capacity of RC beams strengthened by BFRP based on the design code for strengthening concrete structure.

Abstract:
Starting from the point of view of village renewal and reform,the rural features should be maintained in the villages reformed by the development of rural tourism.Taking the design practice of village in Beijing and another one in Hebei Province for example,and through constructing modern rural concept,the rural features can be kept and intensified by the measures for village scope and all facilities.Theorganic renewal and community-participation should be advocated in the process of renewal and reform,thus promoting a sustainable development of village society,economy and ecology.

Abstract:
The multifunctional vibration-absorption megaframe structure may be constituted,in which the main frame may be connected with the secondary frame by vibration-absorption device in the megaframe.The vibration equation has been presented of this structure applied pulsating wind.The mean square deviation of the horizontal vibration displacement and acceleration of the main and the secondary frame have been resulted from random vibration theory.In addition,the vibration-absorption factors of the structure displacement and acceleration have been discussed.From this,an effective vibration-absorption control method has been advanced.

Abstract:
For there is no perfect design theory for concrete structure disturbed field to apply,a lot of concrete disturbed field crack accidents were produced.So STM (strut-and-tie method) is proposed to be used for the design of concrete disturbed field.The selecting principle of STM is proposed.A deep beam was designed based on STM and designing steps were summarized.It can be referenced for similar projects.
STUDY ON EQUIVALENT BEAM CALCULATING MODEL OF REINFORCED CONCRETE FLAT SLAB-T-COLUMN STRUCTURES

Abstract:
In order to solve the problem existed in calculating model of reinforced concrete flat slab-column structures,the typical reinforced concrete flat slab-T-shaped column structures with a series of span sizes and story heights were modeled and analyzed by ETABS analysis program according to equivalent beam method.The analysis results were compared with the results of relevant models made by shaft-shell element in ETABS analysis program.The simplify method was evaluated,and the calculating model was put forward,which can fairly analogue the deformation features of flat slab-column structures loaded by horizontal and vertical loads.The analysis result shows that the current equivalent beam method can analogue the deformation features of flat slab-column structures,although the results are unstable and mainly more stiffness.The width of equivalent beam section is dependent on the parameters such as the span in the action direction and story height and total height of structures.
DISCUSSION ON INFLUENCE DEPTH OF LARGE-SCALE LOAD IN URBAN CONSTRUCTION

Abstract:
With the development of construction,such engineering activities as beach reclamation,ore stacking and preloading act are becoming much bigger than before.They will bring large-scale load and related problems.It is the same with the buildings in cities,which also has the characteristics of load with large-scale.It was investigated the relationship between city buildings and large-scale equivalent effecting load,and discussed primarily its effect on land subsidence.The influence depth of large-scale load is bigger than routine building load,but is smaller than the one calculated by routine methods,whose reason is interpreted.It is found that land subsidence is related to city construction in Shanghai.Bigger subsidence is induced in new area construction than old inhabited area,and bigger building density and bigger volumetric fraction caused bigger subsidence.These phenomena can be well understood according to the paper.As a result,the conclusion is drawn that with smaller density and bigger spacing,a highrise building will be more useful in reducing land subsidence than a low-rise building,which is thought to be helpful for urban planning.
DEFORMATION STUDY ON COMPOSITE FOUNDATION WITH CEMENT MIXING PILES

Abstract:
This article fully investigates the stress ratio of pile and soil and the bearing-deformation mechanism of composite foundation with cement mixing piles whose pile spacing becomes larger by means of the static load test and pile-soil stress testing.Because of bringing the lateral friction of mixing piles into play for composite foundation of pile space s=(2.57~2.64)d,the stress of soil between piles cannot overlap,which makes the composite foundation form a reinforced cushion to diffuse additional stress effectively,so it obviously reduces the settlement of composite foundation.

Abstract:
Anti-corrosion performance of three kinds of mortar specimen in highconcentration salty solution was studied in this paper.Test results show that the performance of ordinary cement mortar will deteriorate because of the high-concentration salty solution,but that of acrylic latex modified mortar can not basically be affected for its higher strength and superior antipermeability in the test condition of cycling of drying and wetting.
AN EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON SHRINKAGE DEFORMATION FOR COMMERCIAL CONCRETE

Abstract:
The shrinkage deformation of 28 commercial concrete members is measured on series 360days,and the concrete age,the compressive strength,the environmental condition and the dimension of member are analyzed in detail.Based on 67 experimental data,considering the effect of the concrete age and the compressive strength,the basic formula of shrinkage is gained under standard condition by aggression analysis;Furthermore,the multi-coefficient formula of shrinkage for commercial concrete under non-standard conditions is gained by Multi-coefficient superposition method,and in the formula,the temperature-relative humidity coefficient and the dimension coefficient are considered.The calculation result of the multi-coefficient formula agrees well with the 130 experimental datas.

Abstract:
The primary and secondary factors of influencing the efficiency of electrochemical chloride extraction(ECE) were investigated by orthogonal test method,the results show that current density has the largest effect,the second is the type of electrolytes and water to cement ratio of concrete,initial chloride content has the least effect.Mercury intrusion porosimetry analysis for the samples ECE-treated and untreated ones were performed,for the ECE-treated samples porosity less than 30nm near rebar increased and that far from rebar decreased.When an electrolyte composed of 0.001 mol/L Li2B4O7 and saturated Ca(OH)2 solution and electrical current density of 3 A/m2 were adopted,the best desalination efficiency can be achieved.

Abstract:
To study seismic behavior of SRC low shear walls with high axial force ratio lateral loading experiment of three shear wall specimens with aspect ratio of 0.95 was carried out.Shear failure occurred on all specimens.The longitudinal reinforcements at the wall ends and the distributed vertical reinforcements were buckled.The flanges of the structural steel buckled and the plastic hinge lines were observed on the web.The structural steel increased the shear bearing capacity of specimens.The influence of the structural steel area on the plastic deformation of specimens was not obvious in this test.A shear bearing capacity formula of SRC shear wall was proposed and the calculated results had good agreement with the test results.

Abstract:
Lateral resistance experiments on eight composit walls of light steel skeleton-wood or bamboo sheet and two ones of no sheet,for comparison,were conducted.The experimental result indicates that light steel skeleton-structural sheet composite walls which is adopted generally in low-rise housing system of North American have high resistant capacity of lateral load.The composite walls show excellent energy absorption property subjected to lateral load,which is due to the special connection of structural sheet and steel skeleton by screws.Based on tests and analyses,the conseption of composite wall which is composed of light steel skeleton and structural sheet is put forward,which generalizes the mechanical behavior of this kind of wall in an all-around way.It is a beneficial exploration for the research and development of the new-type light weight steel structure system.

Abstract:
It is made that a fundamental indroduction to vibration discipline for machinery foundations which developed in China.Meanwhile,it is pointed out that some subjects need to be further studied. It is emphasized on these problems concerned,such as the elastic rigidity and damping of bases,the vertical rigidity of piles,the problem of participation-vibration-mass of bases,the elastic wave propagation in soils,the problem of vibration computation of frame foundations and the relevant problems of elastic half space theory and mass-elasticity-damping theory.
COMPARISON AND ANALYSIS OF LIPPED CHANNEL FLEXURAL MEMBERS' CAPACITY CALCULATED BY SPECIFICATION NAS 2004 AND GB 50018-2002

Abstract:
A separate check on distortional buckling of cold-formed steel members exists in Direct Strength Design Method(DSM) newly accepted by North American Specification NAS 2004.But no specific design rules for it in Technical Code for Cold-Formed Thin-Walled Steel Structure(GB 50018-2002).A summary of distortional buckling behavior is presented.The calculated method of distortional buckling members is introduced and analyzed.Based on the critical elastic distortional buckling stress calculated by simplified analytical model,the bearing capacities of lipped channel flexural members in appendix of GB 50018-2002 are calculated by DSM;and the calculated results show that the bearing capacity of some lipped channel flexural members is governed by distortional buckling.According to the comparisons of calculated results by DSM with results by GB 50018-2002,the conclusions can be drawn that provisions in GB 50018-2002 are safe but too conservative.So a design suggestion that increases the buckling coefficient of flange to 3.0 is proposed.

Abstract:
The mechanical properties of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with AFRP(aramid fiber reinforced plastic) sheets are analyzed according to the constitutive law of confined concrete.The axial-load ratio on the cross sections of the reinforced concrete columns strengthened with AFRP sheets under the conditions of the limit destroy is deduced.The influence parameters,such as the longitudinal reinforcement strength,the volume fraction of transverse reinforcing bars and transverse AFRP sheets,to the limitation of axial-load ratio of reinforced concrete columns are investigated.It is stated that the peak stress and the limit strain of concrete confined with transverse reinforcing bars and transverse AFRP sheets are increased evidently and the mechanical properties of concrete are improved.The limit axial-load ratio of reinforced concrete columns strengthened with AFRP sheets is enhanced and increases with the volume fraction of transverse reinforcing bars and transverse AFRP sheets.In the earthquake-resistant design of columns,the placement of longitudinal reinforcement and transverse reinforcement should be considered together in order to increase the ductility of columns.

Abstract:
The enterprise management is the first protective umbrella for ensuring the reliability of scaled existing industrial buildings,and it may be the most significant one in a certain sense.But in the code framework in China now,less work has been devoted to establish the technical guidelines for building's application and maintenance which are available for the enterprise.It is presented the basic idea of technical guidelines for industrial building's application and maintenance,and briefly introduced the practice work about it,including the destination and principle of the guide,approach of classification control,and index system and standard for assessment.At the same time, the main contents of the guidelines are also given.
