2009, 39(3): 64-68. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200903019
Abstract:
Compared with others, the soft soil in Lianyungang contains high salinity, and the most ions are Cl-, SO42-and Mg2+. If the cement deep mixing method is to improve the soft soil foundation, these ions will generate the bad influence on the strength of pile. By using cube compressive strength test and SEM, the inherent reason of the bad influence can be explored. The results indicate that Mg2+, Cl-and SO42- ions are disadvantage elements. In the three ions, C- influences the strength of the three curing ages; Mg2+ effects the 28 d strength and SO42- impacts the long term strength.

Abstract:
Pumice lightweight aggregate concrete (LWAC) of LC30, LC35 is prepared with the method of mixing polypropylene fiber, superplasticizer, air?? entraining agent and mineral admixtures. Comparing frost resistance durability of LWAC in salt solution ( 5% Na2SO4) and in water, the degree of LWAC durability deterioration is: freezing??thawing in salt solution freezing??thawing in water. The frost resistance of LWAC is improved by mixing polypropylene fiber. The large volume fraction has tendency of good frost resistance of LWAC. SEM shows that hydrate structure in interfacial transition zone (ITZ) becomes loose gradually with an increase in cycles of freezing thawing and corrosion. Polypropylene fiber has stronger cementing bond with paste and can restraint the damage to concrete by freezing??thawing.

Xu Man, Wang Yuyin, Zhang Sumei
2009, 39(3): 107-111. doi: 10.13204/j.gyjz200903028
Abstract:
The numerical simulation and analysis of shear resistance behavior of two-side connected steel-plate shear wall (SPSW) was carried out by the finite element software ANSYS. In order to investigate the behavior of two-side connected SPSW, a simplified analysis model is brought forward and verified by analyzing the stress characters of a single-span multi-level model under monotonic loads. The forced mechanism and failure mode are investigated. The mechanical behavior of the beams is also discussed in details. It is found that depth-thickness ratio Kand span-depth ratio are the key parameters which influence the shear resistance behavior of two-side connected SPSW; the transfer mode of the horizontal loads is different between two-side connected SPSW and four-side connected SPSW; two-side connected SPSW has no additional moments in columns, which fit the aseismatic principle of/strong column and weak beam0 better; structural measures of the beam connected with the steel plate is demanded when depth-thickness ratio is big, it will guarantee that the damage on the beam occurs latter than the steel plate.

Based on the analysis of the experimental phenomenon in detail, some mechanic characteristics are put forward. Through the comparison with other two kinds of CFDSST (one with circular section, and the other with square section), the bearing capacity of the members is larger than that of the former and lesser than that of the latter. Finally, a simplified formula is proposed in the paper, and the calculated results are in good agreement with the test results or the mathematic results. The results are valuable for engineering designers

Water efficiency is one of the important criteria in green building initiative. In rural area where sewer lines have not yet reached, the innovative design of on??site stormwater management systems becomes a critical component for green building accreditation. The paper preview the development of stormwater management in green building rating system, introduced the low impact development (LID) content and key technologies, and discussed the feasibility of applying the LID in green building. Several case studies were investigated to illustrate the LID technology using in green building. The results showed that some of these on??site LID practices can reduce runoff annual volumes, and others can remove nutrients in stormwater. So, it is important to integrate the on??site characteristics with landscape planning, design, water recycle, and other infrastructures in green building.
