COMPARISON OF THE CALCULATION METHOD FOR SETTLEMENT OF HIGHWAY BED AFTER TREATMENT BY VACUUM PRELOADING WITH SURCHARGE PRELOADING

  • Soft ground zone distribute extensively in China, due to being limited by the conditions, a large number of highways must be constructed on the soft ground. Because of the negative characters of the soft soil, such as rich watercontent, high compressibility, low bearing capacity etc, biggish influence and hidden dangers are brought to the highway construction. Combining with the soft soil treating method of the trial pavement section, according to the monitoring data, settlement values calculated by hierarchical method is compared with the actual measurement settlement. The foundation settlement is analyzed by finite element analysis, and the engineering practicality of various methods are also compared. Finally, the auxiliary value of settlement suiting to the characteristics of region is brought forward.
