EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF FLEXURAL BEARING CAPACITY OF CONCRETE BEAMS WITH HRBF500 BARS

  • Seven concrete beams with fine grain HRBF500 bars are designed and tested. By changing the thickness of protective-covering, longitudinal reinforcement ratio and the concrete strength, etc, the bearing capacity of the concrete beams is analyzed. The result shows that the measured values of the capacities of the beams with HRBF 500 bars are close to those by code formulas, so the current formulas in the code can still be used.
