HOLISTIC PRESERVATION STRATEGY AND MANAGEMENT METHOD OF NEW LARNARK WORLD CULTURAL HERITAGE SITE IN UK

As a new type of world heritage，the importance of world industrial heritage site conservation has been internationally recognized． Taking New Lanark World Cultural Heritage Site as a case study，this paper presented its good experiences in conservation and management practice in the perspective of holistic design concept，and the role on reaching holistic development of economy，society，culture． It also provided scientific ideas and good references for further conservation and management of world cultural heritage sites in China．
