APPLICATION AND INVESTIGATION OF THE EMBANKMENT PILES IN TALL FILL PROJECT OF SHANGHAI CHENSHAN BOTANICAL GARDEN

  • In order to reduce the the adverse impacts of the tall fill on the nearby buildings,the embankment piles were widely used in Shanghai Chenshan Botanical Garden and played a significant role between major structures retaining wall and the tall fill.This paper introduced special design technology measures of the test piles and discussed engineering features of the experiment of composite piled foundation,pile-soil ratio testing and settlement analysis.The design parameters were studied carefully so that the precise possible displacement and bending moment of the single pile could be obtained.Based on the accurate reaction of the pile stress and deformation in various conditions by three-dimensional finite element software,it was proposed reasonable fill and construction sequences of the pile foundation.
