RESEARCH ON MECHANISM OF EFFECT OF MARINE SOFT CLAY ON CEMENT SOIL

  • Compared with others, the soft soil in Lianyungang contains high salinity, and the most ions are Cl-, SO42-and Mg2+. If the cement deep mixing method is to improve the soft soil foundation, these ions will generate the bad influence on the strength of pile. By using cube compressive strength test and SEM, the inherent reason of the bad influence can be explored. The results indicate that Mg2+, Cl-and SO42- ions are disadvantage elements. In the three ions, C- influences the strength of the three curing ages; Mg2+ effects the 28 d strength and SO42- impacts the long term strength.
