STUDY OF BEHAVIOR OF NEWCOMPOSITE STRUCTURAL COLUMN

  • PVC-FRP confined concrete column is a new structural system, which is formed by constructing concrete into PVC-FRP tube. To verify the advantage of PVC-FRP confined concrete column, the mechanical behavior of PVC-FRP confined concrete column are compared with that of confined concrete column, including bearing capacity, stress-strain relationship and ductility. Results show that PVC -FRP confined concrete column features high bearing capacity, good ductility, convenient construction, light weight and good durability. PVC-FRP confined concrete column provide a new form for the inven tion of structural system, which has a brigh t future and development space.
