The ultimate loads for obtuse slope and semi|infinite body are obtained based on the unified slip line field theory and the unifield strength theory. The strength difference effect and the intermediate principal stress effect are taken into account in this solution. The ultimate loads of the two are also analyzed by the program ANSYS.The predicted values are compared with the solutions based on unified slip line field theory and good agreement can be observed. It can be concluded that the unified slip line field theory is suitable for analysis of the limit loads for obtuse slope and semi_infinite body. And the economic benefit can be obtained from the engineering application of the new theory.
