Participation of inhabitants is the embodiment of inhabitants environmental right, and the research on participatory consciousn e ss of inhabitants in the living environment evaluation is the basis for studying the evaluation system of light environment of dwelling. According to the resear ch result of the participatory frequency, level and quality of the inhabitants participation in the questionnaire method, expert consultation and letter invest igation, this paper studies and analyses the present situation, problems and cau ses of participatory consciousness of inhabitants in the living environment eval uation. It points out environmental consciousness of the small environment, th e big problem, and raises the solutions that using living environment as work consciousness of healthy engineering, customizing the quality standard and eval uation system, enlarging the education of environmental protection, strengthenin g the monitoring of living environment quality, and so on.
