REBUILDING HUIZHOU ANCIENT SETTLEMENT BASED ON THE“SPIRIT OF PLACE”: A CASE STUDY IN JIANGCUN

Spirit of place is the reflection of places and their spirit． In order to meet the nowaday needs of life for the people，ancient settlements must be protected and transformed． Taking Jiangcun Village as a research object，the method of place spirit was used respectively from the spatial pattern，landscape restoration and landscape joint structure，etc to make the spirit of the traditional culture of ancient inhabitation being inherited，it was expected to provide a reference for the harmonious development of ancient inhabitation in southern Anhui．
