  • Adding steel storeys on the top of the original structure is widely used in practice, for the lightness and superior anti-seismic properties.Taking the case of adding storey of high-rise steel garage and retrofit project, it was explained the strain energy methods that are applied to the calculation of damping ratio of steel-concrete mixed structure, and the comparison of the structural internal force and deformation according to different values of damping ratio.In addition, the design of anti-seismic and retrofit of corresponding parts of structure were also expounded.
