  • The roof purlin of a light-weight steel structure with portal frame is a kind of snow load sensitive component.The Load Code for the Design of Building Structures(GB 500092012) has more explicit and detailed provisions for the value of snow load.Through the comparison and analysis of the new load code and the old load code, the rules and characteristics of the new load code about basic snow load values and roofing snow distribution coefficients in the design of the roof purlin of light-weight steel structure with portal frame were clarified, and the main points of the anti-snow load design of the purlin were summarized.Finally the applicability of the snow load value in the new load code for purlin design was verified through the analysis of a specific snow-caused accident.
