Abstract

Abstract

The paper analyzes the historical, location and environmental, place and value characteristics of the small industrial plants in Suzhou, researched that the renewal model of these plants now is unitary and focuses on the cultural production, but the lack of cultural place to live and create.It proposes that the cultural update of these plants should consider the basis and opportunity of urban development, site characterization and requirement of people, and arrange rationally the double function of cultural production and cultural life in reason, thus forming three cultural renewal models.
