EFFECT OF SOIL GRAIN COMPOSITION ON SOIL ELECTRICAL RESISTIVITY

  • Soil electrical resistivity is one of the fundamental physical property parameters of soil,and is closely related to the properties of physical,mechanical parameters and microstructure characteristics of soils.A systemic experimental study was carried out to study the effect of solid composition on soil electrical resistivity.A simple method was put forward to evaluate the conductivity of solid composition of soil.Based on the test results,the electrical resistivity of test expansive soil was got.Based on the test of the electrical resistivity of additives stabilized expansive soil,it was found that the electrical resistivity of stabilized expansive soils was increased with curing time.Test results of the electrical resistivity of the admixture of expansive soil and loess showed that soil electrical resistivity was decreased with the increase in liquid limit and plastic index.
