The rapid development of urban construction often requires the removal of the building in a short time.In order to meet the needs of the city's fast development,usually,the mechanical removal of the houses is used in China and creates a lot of garbages at the same time.Which caused the contradictory and problems in the building activities.This paper presented the design ideas and suggestions of the building dismantling,through the introduction of foreign advanced theories and experience,and also analysed of the related steps of the building dismantling and the reuse of old building materials.In the design stage the building detachability and the full use of the old building materials should be considered,and it was explored the development in future of China in the building dismantling and the reuse of old building materials.
