Rectification and reinforcement of buildings are an unordinary task with demanding technique and high risk,and no independent theoretical systems have been constituted.To explore the mechanism and construction methods of rectification and reinforcement of buildings,it was outlined the design and construction of a multifunctional building of an elementary school as well as its inclination and damage.Engineering geological condition underneath the building was investigated,and the cause resulting in inclination was analyzed.The process of rectification through excavation as well as constructing and monitoring of reinforcement of silt clay under the foundation through grouting was demonstrated.Disposal of accident during the course of rectification and reinforcement was put forward.By rectification through excavation an reinforcement through grouting,the inclination rate of the building was corrected from 17 to 4,and sediment didn't propagate any longer.
