NEW LIFE OF OLD INDUSTRY: INSPIRATION FROM THE RENOVATION PROJECT OF PILSNER URQUELL IN CZECH REPUBLIC

This article made a brief introduction to the renovation project of the Pilsner Urquell in Czech Republic,summed up the ways of activating the traditional industries through industrial heritage renovation to promote regionalindustrial recovery, and retain the memory of urban history, which included the renovation concept of heritagepreservation and cultural inheritance, heritage tourism and economic feeding, new processes and activation. It hasalso included the renovation methods of and authenticity restoration, integration space and function of old and new,landscape transformation. This instance has provided a positive inspiration to industrial heritage renovation, especiallythe renovation of existing traditional industries and related industrial heritage in China.
