The ultraviolet rays have effects on characteristics of reinforced concrete column strengthened with BFRP.The compressive behavior of 16 reinforced concrete columns strengthened with BFRP exposed to ultraviolet rays was investigated.The results indicate that ultimate axial compressive strength of the column is decreased when the time of ultraviolet rays irradiation is increased according to lays of BFRP sheet and reinforcement pattern.After ultraviolet rays irradiating,the ductility of reinforced concrete column strengthened with BFRP is decreased,but it has little influence on failure pattern.
