STUDIES ON PRESTRESSING LOSS OF CONCRETE BEAMS PRESTRESSED WITH CFRP TENDONS

  • In order to study the prestressing loss of fiber reinforced plastics (FRP) tendons,the prestressing loss experiment of six concrete beams prestressed with CFRP tendons is carried out. Based on the measured values of experiment,combined with relevant calculating, the prestressing loss of FRP tendons are studied, and the corresponding design suggestions are proposed. The results show that the contents of prestressing loss of CFRP tendons are similar to steel cables,and the approach of subentry calculating total loss of prestressing can be used for CFRP tendons. The calculated results were close to those of the tests,and the error is within 15%.
