The steel plate shear wall is studied with shear load considered only,which isn't accord with the engineering practice.To evaluate the elastic buckling strength of steel plate shear wall bearing shear and vertical load accurately,a finite element analysis is carried out to investigate the elastic buckling of steel plate shear wall with simply surpport on four sides,fix surpport on two vertical sides and simply surport on others and fix support on four sides under shear and pressure.Based on FEA data,the interaction equations of shear combined with vertical compression are revised.Comparisons of the calculation results with those of FEA show that the revised equations have good accuracy and can be applied to design steel plate shear wall.
