STUDY ON SOUND INSULATION OF SOUND BARRIER PANELS

  • The numerical simulation method is used to calculate the sound transmission loss of two different sandwiches with different thicknesses.Comparing with the experimental results,simulation results are proved to be correct.Then it is analysed the relationship among steel thickness,sandwiches thickness,sandwiches density and sound transmission loss.Setting the resonance frequency as the boundary,formula of sandwiches sound transmission loss is fitted.Error between experimental results and calculated results is small.The formula can direct engineering practice.
