LEARNING OVERSEAS DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES OF THE SCAFFOLDS AND REDUCING CONSTRUCTION ACCIDENTS IN CHINA

  • In order to prevent more casualty and loss in scaffold accidents in China,this paper mainly analyzed the problems of engineering construction and scaffold industry in China.Taking major scaffold accidents occurred in China for example,the paper also compared different scaffold production techniques and management experiences with developed countries.Furthermore,the paper suggested some solutions to help solve the scaffold problems in China: 1) to use new types of scaffolds with better security performance to replace those outdated fastener scaffolds with lager market share but poorer security performance;2) to establish a proper and efficient supervision system in the field of scaffold industry;3) to set up a fair and square scaffold leasing market;4) to found several large scale enterprises specializing in scaffold making and developing;5) to establish an effective security training system;6) to cultivate and enhance the sense of security of engineering personnel.
