Abstract
Aseismic capacity can be improved by strengthening with carbon fiber reinforced polymer sheet for existing buildings. Taking a project for example, it is presented the determination of reform scheme of strengthening and the aeismic strengthening design of concrete column with CFRP, the variation of axial compression ratio for frame column before and after strengthening is computed. The results show that strengthening with CFRP can effectively improve the aeismic capacity of frame column. After strengthening, the existing building satisfied the application requirement.
