RESEARCH ON DESIGN OF MIX PROPORTION AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION FOR STEEL FIBER SHOTCRETE

Abstract
In this paper the technology of steel fiber shotcrete suitable to the support of large cavity is proposed by laboratory and field experiments. The selection of materials for steel fiber shotcrete and design of its mix proportion are discussed and the selection of wet-spray equipments and technical characteristic of construction of wet-spray steel fiber shotcrete are summarized. The results of experiments show that different types of wet-spray equipments using in construction need the steel fiber shopcrete with different mix proportion and corresponding admixture. The steel fiber shotcrete under the optimized design can meet the requirements of compressive strength, tensile strength, flexural strength, bending temper index, temper coefficient, bond strength with surrounding rock and other technical indexes.
