It has theoretical and practical value to carry out the experimental research of simply-supported T-type beam reinforced by externally tendons,whose mechanism can be deeply recognized. By means of the experiment,the service performances of simply-supported beam before and after strengthened by externally tendons were investigated,such as the distribution and development of crack,deflection of mid-span,deformation of whole beam under different loading cases. It can be inferred that the bearing capacity of beam can be improved sharply after strengthening,the development of cracks can be suppressed and the deformation capacity can be improved.
