EXCAVATING URBAN HISTORY IN THE SITE TRANSFORMATION: TRANSFORMATION DESIGN OF MAOXIN FLOUR MILL IN WUXI

The traces of urban development can often be obtained from the industrial buildings. As a material carrier of industrial civilization，the reuse of industrial buildings became a hot reasearch subject. Through the analysis of transformation design of Maoxin Flour Mill in Wuxi，the reuse of space and site probed into，the excavation of historical information in the process of reforming industrial buildings were probed into， and the significane of industrial heritage reuse to the urban cultural renaissance was explored.
