The state-of-the-art of the conservative and adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings both at home and aboard was summarised. The appropriate ways for the conservative and adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings in Shenyang Tiexi Industrial Zone were proposed. By the design of the conservative and adaptive reuse of old industrial buildings of the mining equipment of Shenyang Heavy Industries Group,old industrial buildings was presented the investigation how to better protect and adaptability reuse. Also a feasible development model for the regeneration of old industrial buildings was found.
