The hyperbolic function is used to fit the e-p data of consolidation tests, with which, the hyperbolic model of the void ratio and effective consolidation stress is presented. On the basis of the permeability coefficient and the void ratio, the relationship between consolidation coefficient and effective consolidation stress of soft clay under compression is derived through the e-p hyperbolic model. The results of the indoor experimental of seepage pressure show that the calculation model is reasonable. In this paper, the calculation model reflects well the relationship between consolidation coefficient and effective consolidation stress, which provides a useful reference for the engineering design.
