A comparative test of foundation treatment using dynamic compaction of 18 000 kNm was carried out for the land backfill area and sea backfill area of a marine reclamation land in Guangdong Province. The geological conditions and design parameters were introduced in detail,The treatment effect was obtained by dynamic sounding test,Rayleigh wave test,standard penetration test and plate load test after compaction.
