Caisson construction has many advantages,such as having a small footprint,no support of sheet pile,little impact on adjacent buildings and security of construction.The caisson technology is widely applied as the developing of the construction technology and machinery today,but some difficulties indeed exist in the construction of the large-scale irregular double-wall caisson.In this paper, some engineering instances are involved.In view of using a large-scale irregular caisson with double walls in a drainage pumping station,this article presents the problems of design and construction,the solutions and its effect during the application.This article also introduces the sinking technology,monitoring system and the method of vertical correction in detail.
