High strength concrete shear wall embedded polystyrene foam is a new type of multifunction bearing wall.Cyclic loading experiments on three models of these walls are carried out.The bearing capacity,stiffness and its attenuation,ductility,hysteretic property and failure phenomena are investigated.The effects of different reinforcement ratios of inclined steel braces on the seismic performance of the wall are discussed.It is shown that the seismic behavior of the shear wall with inclined brace of steel trusses has been improved much more than that of normal shear wall.Further more,with increasing of the reinforcement ratio,the bearing capacity,the after-stiffness and the ductility have also been improved evidently.
