ANALYSIS OF MECHANICAL PROPERTY OF SHORT-PIER SHEAR WALL

According to the mechanical characteristics of short-pier shear wall, the conditions meeting the ratio of connecting beam height to its span in short-pier shear wall have been derived.From this,the defining criterion of short-pier shear wall may be presented,which may be referred to engineering design.In addition,any viewpoint different from some papers has been advanced.
