  • The retrofit technology by carbon fiber cables with external prestress is very suitable for strengthening concrete beams in corrosive and wet environments. It is compared and analyzed that the performance index es of the strengthened beams, as well as themethods of applying the external prestress to carbon fiber cables, based on tests of two concrete beams strengthened by carbon fiber cables with external prestress, an outlook for subsequent study is also given.
