Abstract
Beam-string structures have been adopted in several large-span structures. However, theoretical analysis of this kind of structures has not been well established. The effects of the imperfections, rise-span ratio, sag-span ratio and prestressing value on the mechanical performance are researched under uniform ful-l span load and hal-f span load. So the optimal rise-span ratio of the arch is obtained. These conclusions provide some useful suggestions for the design of beamstring structures.
