EFFECTOF STEEL FIBER TYPE ON CONCRETE BENDING PROPERTIES

  • :Mill-cut, hooked end and straight-round steel fibers were used, whose effects on concrete were experimentally studied.The results show that the bending strengths of till-cut, hooked end and straight-round steel fiber concretes are respectively increasd by 19.0%、13.6% and 9.5% over reference concrete, and their JCI toughness coefficient is increased by 355.3 %、501.0 % and 204.8 % over reference concrete.three kinds of steel fibers may be divided into ordinary, reinforcing-strength and reinforcing-toughness steel fibers on the basis of their effect on concrete.The steel fiber of different geometrical form is used according to the needs of projects.
