As important as satisfying the competitionneeds of a public gymnasium, campus gymnasium also shouldmeet therequirements of university and college students communication and performance, offer an multifunctional integrative spacewith functions such as competition, exercise, communication, etc. Based on the retrospection of design and constructionprocess of the gymnasium in Beijing Institute of Technology, it is discussed and analysed how to design campus gymnasiumbetter for the teachers and students in a university.
