THE INFLUENCE OF HORIZONTAL RElNFORCEMENT RATIO ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF STEEL CONCRETE BEAM

  • For researching the influence of horizontal reinforcement ratio on seismic behavior of steel-concrete beams,experiments are conducted on ten specimens of composite steel-concrete beams under the repeated and cyclic loadings.With the results of these experiments,it is analyzed that breaking appearance,hysteresis curves,ductility and other seismic behavior of steel-concrete beams and written down the time when longitudinal cracking appeared in concrete flange in tension.By researching the experimental results,it is suggested that the rational horizontal reinforcement ratio of steel-concrete beam in positive moment area should be 0.5% to 0.7% and in negative moment area be 0.7% to 0.8%.
