RESEARCH ON BOND BEHAVIOR BETWEEN STEEL AND CONCRETE OF SELF-COMPACTING CONCRETE FILLED STEEL TUBES WITH RECTANGULAR SECTIONS

  • The bond behavior between steel tube and core concrete of concrete filled steel tubes under loading is one of the focal points that are concerned by the designers and researchersd.It is an important basis for the design of the connection in concrete filled steel tubular structures to confirm the bond strengths between steel tube and core concrete.Experimental studies on bond behavior of self-compacting concrete filled rectangular steel tubular member are performed,and the differences of bond behavior between normal concrete filled steel tubes and selfcompacting concrete filled steel tube are compared.The results show that the self-concrete can improve the bond strength between the steel tube and core concrete.Finally,the simplified formulas for the bond strength and the simplified model for bond stress versus relative slip relationship are suggested based on the analysis of the test results.
