RESPONSE ANALYSIS OF THE SOIL-STRUCTURE INELASTIC INTERACTION SYSTEM UNDER EVOLUTIONARY RANDOM EXCITATIONS

  • The evolutionary random excitation acting on structures is assumed to be non-uniformly modulated.The non-stationary characters of earthquake motion of intensity and frequency are considered, and the soil-structure interaction system is analysed by equivalent linearization method.The evolutionary spectra and time-variant cross-correlation function of the response for the soil-structure interaction system are obtained, and one utility method of calculation and its process are also given.The numerical example shows that the inelastic response of the soil-structure interaction system is affected significantly by the characters of the frequency non-stationarity of seismic ground motion.
