  • A new type of end-plate bolted connection with steel beam and reinforced concrete column is investigated, and two full-scale model connections were tested under simulated seismic loading.Experimental results show that this new type of composite connection has satisfactory seismic performance with high strength and excellent ductility as well as good energy dissipation capability. The thicker endplate and stronger high-strength bolts were utilized in specimen JD02 than specimen JD01, resulting a higher strength and more ductile behavior.
